The instructions below should work for your ULTRAPLUS 900HD micro PVR FULL HD 1080p.
To scan in Prime at 12519MHz on an UltraPlus 680P just follow the following steps:
Press Menu Navigate to Service Search in the Installation Menu Change the Search Mode to Manual =yes Make sure the OPTUS D1 Satellite is selected =yes Set the frequency to 12519MHz =yes < was 12456 MHz Make sure the Symbol rate is 22500 =yes Make sure the Polarity is Horizontal =yes Change the Search Type to FTA Only =yes Change the Network Search to Off =yes Start the Search < clicked OK =got:
3 TV Stations found5 Radio Services found- 3 New TV Services- 0 New Radio ServicesDo you want to copy scanned services to another tuner?
The options for this question were "OK" and "Cancel" < I chose OK =got: Service Error.
Turned the PVR off using the remote. Turned on again, went to the previous channel that got Prime, (#111), got "Prime has moved"
Joined Freeviewforum. While waiting my pending membership, did the above again:
found frequency set on 12707 MHz !! < !!got 0 New TV Services (last time got 3) This time chose the option "Cancel"Level=92% Quality=85% Clicked "Exit" button, again got channel #74, went to #111 got the same "Prime has moved" (But the UltraPlus info bar said Animal Airport - which Listener said was currently on)
Started at TV1, clicked through everything to about #120, didn't find a working Prime.
I don't actually know what channel it might be. :)
So I'm stuck.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

he browser can not be up to date if it is updated to the lastest available update released can it? Graeme Simpson said:
OK We have
Sony KDL-40W660E
We use a satellite freeview receiver. The on demand content is coming through the freeview reciever.
The TV is not showing on demand app as an option but works fine with Netflix and youtube. Perhaps Sony have dropped the on demand app from their options?
Update
I tried accessing On demand through the web browser app on the TV.
When attempting to play it gave message that the necessary DRM plugins are not enabled. This is what I used to get on my laptop so it suggests Sonys browser is not up to date in this respect.

Hi Graeme,
Yes, I understand they update regularly. My TV automatically updates its software and I have double checked it has the latest version running. It appears it doesn't make any difference to on demand whether it's updated or not unfortunately.
The model is KD-65X7500D.
Thanks. Graeme Simpson said:
I gave up trying to watch ON DEMAND on my computer as it refused to work with my Linux based computer. (rival to Microsoft Windows). At that time I queried it with on demand and they said Linux was not compatible. Most smart TVs and such devices these appear to use the Linux operating system and a web browser (usually "Opera")
I have just tested my Linux laptop and it can now access On Demand so it appears that Linux is now compatible with it. What you need to do is update the Linux operating system. We have a Sony TV and can update it via the wifi or LAN cable. The older ones may require downloading the update onto a USB stick.
Note that it is not a "fault" with the software it is just network security and video codecs are evolving which is why all OSs regularly release updates. Even MS Windows.....
What model Sony?

You will be using your DTVS remote. If you don’t have your remote anymore, please contact DTVS for a replacement.
The following is provided by DTVS and applies to the DTVS 1, DTVS 1B, DTVS P1 or
w models.
1. The Product Box
Unapproved Units:
These will come in a range of sizes and colors, it may feature a picture of the product with the model and brand. However these will not feature any Freeview HD or Freeview Satellite logos
Below is a photo of a unapproved box found on Trade Me:
Approved Units
These will come in a range of sizes and packaging too, but you will notice that the Freeview Logo will be on at least every side including the red banner that may be on a range of boxes. Below is a example of a box on a Dish-TV unit found on Trade Me:
2. The unit itself
Unapproved Units:
The Unit may be limited in functions on the front panel and will show a brand and model number with a DVB logo, Thats good news because it means its compliant with Satellite signals. However you can also tell its unapproved if there is no Freeview logo on the front panel
Such as this one:
Approved Units:
The panel will feature the brand make and model plus will have the Freeview logo with the service info on the front, such as the ones below:
There are a few receivers like the SOMMET products that may not feature a logo but will be certified by Freeview, you can see if you have a model that might have this here
3. The EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
Unapproved Units:
The unapproved units may have limited or no EPG service, this may because the manufacturer has created this to pack down the performance of the box, some listings may not appear correctly and could be out of time-zone. If you push the EPG the Freeview MHEG 5 EPG will not show up, instead a built in guide may appear.
Approved Units:
These will feature a Freeview MHEG-5 EPG with 8 Day listings like the one below:
You can control using the color buttons on your remote . It is also used for recording if you have a PVR.
Look for products that have the following logos on them which allows you to recognize the products you buy are Freeview Approved.

I've been trying to get 12519 to be scanned on one of these boxes but no luck.( LNB 11300)
The stupid thing is that in the one part of the menu that you can add a transponder frequency of 12519 you are unable to scan it. When you go via the manual scan to scan what have entered ie 12519 it is not available to be scan in the list of transponders. Go figure
Today I did see what looked like software upgrade for these boxes when scanning a satbox so lets wait and see

important that you recognize which of which is the best way to watch Digital Television.
Composite Cable
This cable is supplied with every Freeview approved product and is a basic connection for your television, Most Televisions that handel AV inputs. They will have a Red/White and Yellow coat. This provides a Standard SD Digital Video and Audio
Component Cable This cable provides a more clearer and upscaled video picture and usually can broadcast equipment in HD however is not an alternative to the HDMI cable. This cable split the colour so the picture comes up more better than Composite and is recommended to use if you have a HDTV and a receiver that can handle component, It however will not carry the red and white audio connection on some cables.
HDMI Cable
This provide full 1080p video and is used in all entertainment systems that have a HDTV. This cable is recommended for Freeview HD Set top boxes for those who want to watch HD shows and satellite users who want to connect their receivers to get a upscaled high quality video.

call an installer - a directory can be found here: http://www.freeviewnz.tv/equipment-installation/installation.aspx#frmInstallers
However there're a few things you could check first:
1. If you're using a UHF aerial, did you do a coverage check with your full street address to make sure that you're actually in the 86% of areas where Freeview|HD (via UHF) has been made available?
For example, if the coverage check states you're "likely" or "likely with high aerial" to get Freeview|HD, you may need a different UHF aerial than the standard 'grid & fishbone' aerial. E.g. If you're far away from the transmission tower, a phased array UHF aerial may improve signal reception.
2. If you're using an indoor aerial - I'd recommend changing to an external UHF aerial. While indoor aerials can work when you're close to a transmission tower & have direct line of sight to the tower, under other circumstances, they're not as robust for picking up signals as external aerials.
3. If you have an external UHF aerial, step outside and take a look: do you have tall buildings or trees in front of the aerial? Obstructions like hills, buildings & trees can cause signal interference (the signal doesn't have a clear path from the transmission tower to your aerial).
You can try moving your UHF aerial to another place on the roof so it has an unobstructed view to the transmission tower (coverage maps showing the sites of transmission towers can be found at the bottom of the coverage page).
4. If you haven't checked the condition of your UHF aerial or satellite dish in a while, it might pay to have a look to see if there're any corroded parts on the aerial / dish. Remember that NZ does have some pretty extreme weather patterns, and any exposed elements outside the house will be affected over time (e.g. if you're lucky to live near the sea, salt water can cause corrosion quicker on antennae so it's especially important to keep an eye on the aerial / dish).
Corroded parts can be replaced and are usually inexpensive. However if you're unsure about how to put it in, please contact an installer.
5. Also do a end-to-end check (from the aerial down to your TV) - a loose connection or cabling that is not well sheltered from other electronic devices can cause signal distortion that result in pixelated pictures.
This is not a comprehensive list at all, just a handful of tips. Please feel free to add more suggested checks that you've found helpful for you so all viewers can benefit from our collective experience - thanks :)

would last a few seconds to many seconds.
I have a Dish TV T1050PVR unit and so decided to contact Dish TV, who in the past have been extremely helpful. We have a clear line of sight to Sugarloaf and no tress etc in the way. All channels come in fine.
Details I filled out for their website support were:
District/Area: Rangiora
Freeview Receiver Model: T1050PVR
Current Software: A3U 20 12C
TV One signal: 94 - 96
TV One quality: 90
TV3 signal: 96 - 98
TV3 quality: 90
Prime signal: 95 - 97
Prime quality: 90
Now the technician came back and said
This sounds as though it could be levels of interference causing this problem, this wouldn't effect you TV 1: because its signal tuner and it required less signal etc 2: because it has multiple tuners and a system that sends on UHF signal to the UHF tuner thus resulting in any interference being filtered out.My recommendation is you try a UHF band pass filter available here: http://www.dishtv.co.nz/vmchk/Amps-Filters/76-UHF-Band-Pass-Filter/flypage_web2_lite.tpl.htm
This UHF band pass filter does the following (from the Dish TV website)
As the North Island of New Zealand still has both UHF and VHF transmissions some areas suffer from VHF overload on Freeview|HD UHF receivers. Areas of New Zealand also have very strong cell phone signal that can interfere with Freeview|HD UHF receivers. This is often seen as pixellating on screen, or sound and picture cutting out. These symptoms can often look the same as low signal but a test will show that signal levels are high. The problem is being caused by high levels of VHF or cell phone signals in with the DTT UHF signals.
This filter removes unwanted VHF, FM and Cellphone signals and lets only UHF signals pass through to the Freeview|HD receiver. Simply connect it in the aerial line behind the Freeview|HD receiver. This filter uses RF plug/socket like most aerial cables.
Please note this filter is for use with a UHF aerial. It is not for use with a satellite dish.
Perhaps installing on of these simple filters may help.
(Note: I haven’t yet tried one…….really doesn’t bother me)…
