Yes it is 103 Mbps, I will try all of what you have suggested. I've never had this problem b4, both apps have always worked great, I watch them more than live tv. By the way I'm on spark fibre, thanks for your help Satellite Networks Motueka said:
I hope thats 103 Mbps. If it is that should be fine. Have you tried doing an update or even just rebooting the tv. Or uninstall and reinstall the app.

instructions are supplied by the manufacturer and extracted from the Dish TV website.
With some channels being transmitted from a Sky transponder, the device may need a factory reset to locate the transmission.
The steps to do this are as follows:
Press the menu button on the remote to bring up the main menu.
Select Installation and Press Ok
Select Factory Default and Press Ok
Enter the pin code for the receiver (The default is 0000)
Select Yes and press OK
After the factory reset process has completed you will be prompted to select your region and press OK.
Once the scan process has completed you should have access to all channels again.
If after the factory reset process you have no channels loaded you may need to manually set the LNB frequency
S7070 LNB Drift
To correct for an LNB that has drifted in frequency the steps are as follows
Press the menu button on the remote to bring up the main menu.
Select Installation and Press Ok
Select Satellite Setup and press OK
Select LNB No and press the right arrow until 8 is displayed
Select LNB Low Frequency and using the number keys enter 10745
Select LNB High Frequency and using the number keys enter 10745
Select 22Khz and press the right arrow to select Off
Press OK to start scanning
Select "Yes" and press OK
Once the scan process is completed you will be returned to the Installation menu. Press the Exit button twice to return to normal viewing.
In some cases this process will not correctly add the channel you're scanning for.
In this case you will need to manually enter the transponder details for that channel.
The steps to do this are as follows:
Press the Menu button to bring up the main menu
Select Installation and press OK
Select Transponder Setup and press OK
Select Add Transponder and press OK
Enter 12519 in Frequency
Select Symbol rate and enter 22500
Check that Polarity is set to Horizontal
Check that network search is set to Off
Press OK to start the Scan process
The scan process will take approximately 1 minute to complete.
Once the scan process is completed you will be returned to the Satellite Scan menu.
Press the Exit button to return to normal viewing.

those using a UHF aerial - satellite transmission isn't regionalised so if there was a problem with the transmission, then it would be a nationwide issue & so far that does not appear to be the case (which is good) - so please let the ones using a dish to receive digital TV among your friends & whanau know that it's most likely to do with the dish (its positioning might not be ideal; or the LNB component has suffered water damage over the years) - a replacement of the LNB (relatively cheap to buy) or a repositioning could well be the ticket.
Now those who have had problems using UHF aerials would've been affected by the ice on the transmission tower (on Mt Egmont) but there are 2 parts to this problem:
One being the ice (Granted, that ice did take its sweet time to melt...though I'm not sure what poor souls would've been dispatched to scale the snowy slopes...and when they got there...what could one do against the force of nature?!)
The other (as I've been advised) is marginal reception typically caused by poorly aligned / slightly faulty aerials (sometimes corroded parts can go unnoticed for a long time before something like this happens).
So I'd check the aerial just to for the peace of mind that everything's hunky dory up there. Not asking you to go roof-climbing though mind you - get a handy mate / neighbour maybe to help you do what you can but if you experience further reception problems in the future (worth noting that usually unaddressed aerial problems will worsen over time), getting help from an installer might be a good idea.

ot a strong(;>)) pointer to dish problem. Bill McMurray said:
Hi Trevor,
If you have a MySky downstairs and a Strong satellite receiver upstairs and both are running off the same dish, (and the MySky is okay), then there shouldn't be anything wrong with the dish!
I've been called out to about a dozen Strong receivers in the last few weeks (before the Prime drama), with all sorts of strange things happening - channels disappeared (Maori, Choice, etc), two TV 2+1 and no TV 1+1, channels breaking up, etc.
The problems all seem to have stemmed from 1st September when Freeview changed "U" to TV 2+1, then swapped TV2+1 and TV1+1 around, and it appears that some Strong receivers actually tried to change the channels around!! - even though they're not accredited units, - and got a few headaches as a result! (Strong recs are very, very good quality units - shame they're not accredited).
If that sounds like your problem, in each case I did a full power reset (pulled power plug out from wall for 30 secs), rescanned all the transponders, then sorted the channels again and every one of them came right.
Hope that might help you. - Otherwise buy a cheap sat box like you were thinking.
Cheers, Bill.

You could try adjusting your lnb settings but this would only be a temporary fix.
Press the info button twice and Signal strength and Quality will be displayed on the S7070r , post the results here
Murphys law. No reception at all right now, not even for a few seconds so....strength and quality both 0% Weird thing is...I have another satellite dish (its a cheap freeview one not a sky dish) with another freeview box connected to another TV at the other end of the house and I lost reception there completely months ago. Didn't bother sorting that one at the time. I'll try the main one again tomorrow, should get at least a few seconds reception hopefully. Many thanks Biggles
Yes, its a sky dish. Will check out the LNB tomorrow. Haven't seen it that close up before lol Will get up a ladder and take a photo for you. Thanks Paul

As Freeview Forum members, we’d like invite you to take part in an exclusive trial of this new platform before it’s made available nationwide, so you get to test drive the New Freeview On Demand in your home, from the comfort of your couch and provide some feedback to help us further enhance the new platform, identify and smooth out any glitches in the system.
To take part, you’ll just need to:
1. Meet some set up requirements: because the pre-production environment isn't yet available nationwide, in order to access it, you'll need to either be in Auckland using a UHF aerial, or be elsewhere in NZ using a satellite dish; and of course, you'll need to be an existing user of the current Freeview On Demand or FreeviewPlus service.
2. be available to test the new Freeview On Demand over a couple nights in the coming week and provide feedback by 9pm Sunday 15th April.
Interested?
Just complete this form by midday Monday 9th April.
We’ll send you a note to let you know if you meet the set up requirements and if you do, we’ll include instructions on how to access the new platform and provide feedback.
Thanks in advance to anyone who's able and willing to take part in this trial, for helping to create a better and more stable new free streaming TV platform for all Freeviewers in New Zealand.

ug UHF antenna into it's antenna socket and see if you can tune freeview. The manual tells you how. If that works you can do away with the Strong box.
Manual found here
http://www.samsung.com/nz/support/model/PS42Q91HX/RAD-downloads
Component video only has three connections, red green blue. The yellow is composite video. You still need the red and white for sound so need 5 cables to connect component and audio but only 3 for composite A/V. If you connected r,g,b out on Strong to r,g,b on Tv and red white to red white you will get picture and sound. Page 7 of the manual shows how the 5 leads should be connected. Trevor Knowles said:
Tried component out to in..seemed worse? and no sound. Changing source etc to component. I used the green blue red from my HES to TV and did STB to small TV.
Correct. You need to connect red and white as well for sound.
Used AV on STB to AV to TV on small TV with no aerial..some breakup so no better.
Used UHF aerial on small TV and noticebaly sharper..but I know that anyway cos that is small TV.
I dont think Im capable of tuning STB with UHF to big TV. If I couldnt get it all back wife would not be happy.
