hooked into has been realigned to Optus D2 for the previous owner, so when you did a scan it picked up the 70 - 80 foreign and Christian channels on there.
So, if you're getting the likes of Abu Dhabi, Oman, KTV, Church, GOD TV, RT, Press, NHK World, BVN, TNT, Duna, ERT, etc, then those are definately channels off Optus D2 and you need to get an installer to realign the dish to Optus D1. Are you in the Waikato?, because we're based in Hamilton,
Cheers, Bill.

you probably have a DishTV satellite PVR like me. (s7090 in my case) This 'feature' was added to one of their recent firmware upgrades. It certainly did not do this when I originally purchased the box.
I have to agree with you in that it is a bit annoying. And I can find no way of turning it off.
May pay to send support@dishtv.co.nz an email. Justin, who seems to sit at the end of this email address, is very helpful and may know of a way to turn it off.

ording - I'm not doing anything I haven't done a hundred times before.
Thanks anyway - I will bide my time and see if they come up with any suggestions re the DishTV recorder in case it is applicable to me too. Satellite Networks Motueka said:
A code 2 error is usually associated with no signal, might pay to check your aerial if this is happening on all channels. The only scenario that a MTV should have a problem is when trying to record prime and 1 other program, or trying to record of TV1 and TV3 and then trying to watch Prime

Not quite sure what you mean by different frequency for Four+1. Its on the same Mux as TV3, TV3+1, and TV 4 (Mediaworks). The Edge should be on the same Mux (Mediaworks).
Only on Satellite might it be different because The Edge and 4+1 are on the Sky Transponder and not Freeview.
See here

It all depends on availability of space on the transponders.

ple computer thru any of the HDMI ports on the TV (it has 3). As I reported, I'd bought a cheap, Chinese Thunderbolt-to-HDMI cable and got nothing. After talking to the place that sold me the TV and an Apple reseller I decided to try a different cable. The one I bought from the reseller, which was not an Apple brand but one they assured me would work, and, miracle of miracles, it did work. Before trying it I was very skeptical as there are people on several Internet forums having the same problem I had and nowhere did I see it suggested that I just needed a better cable.
Still have the issue of not being able to play an Apple-formatted hard drive through the TV, though.…
l be away enjoying Freeview for free!

I am also thinking of getting rid of my Sky as well. I have Freeview in the bedroom and Sky in the Living Room and I want to get Freeview in the Living Room as well and get rid of Sky. If I have Freeview in the bedroom already, what do I need to do to get it in the Living Room as well. I want to be able to record so do I just need to buy a Freeview Plus box for the Living Room????
