a Sat Dish then it's amazing he's only missing one Mux (Prime). It will be receiving only what the bare coax can pick up.
P.S. Where is he located? Mike Reeve said:
Sorry I am flying blind as this is my Father's TV I am trying to sort. He advises there is no set top box, just the TV via a satellite dish?

e from Freeview Support around? I got an email a few days ago saying the issue was going to be forwarded to the "Tech Team", but heard nothing...
Just bought this new TV a few weeks ago, so was stoked that it had DVB-S and Freeview+, but if it's been stopped already, then that's just gutting.

ch does the lnb voltage supply will die leaving the box unable to drive the dish unless its connected to the lnb out of another sat box
or your dish could have moved or the lnb may have died or rats eaten the dish cable

figure out what's wrong then he sounds pretty useless to me. It ain't rocket science. I'd be inclined to get somebody else to come and diagnose and repair then send the bill to the original guy. Check their credentials and references first too. John Jenkins said:
The guy came back double checked everything, and then said he had no answers.

, overtime the LNB which is the little machine on the front of your dish will age and cause issues when weather seems to play it's part, the age of the device affects the signals. It might be best to get a local installer to have a look and see if the LNB needs a slight adjustment so that channels do not drop out in the event weather comes.

will not ever be compatible with this switch over - which sounds rather draconian to me when the boxes have been sold up until less than a year ago.
Has anyone had success making HSMX-200 work on the new transponder frequencies? Or do you think it best to claim warranty? Anyone's experience with this receiver would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: To confirm, yes it is running the latest 1.23 firmware, yes I have factory reset and tried to retune, and yes I have reinstalled the firmware over a USB update just in case there was something wrong there.…
ification that there is no longer any On-Demand sopport.
So far, so good.
Then we click the "OK" and the TV switches over to NORMAL (sattelite) TV.
Nooo, I don't have a satellite dish! That's what this app is supposed to do via the Internet, after all!
I've updated the TV software to the latest version, factory reset and set up the TV from scratch again and everything works 100% except this darn app. All apps I use are the latest versions available on the LG Content Store.
Is anyone else having this issue, or am I the only one?…
, this was installed and set up, been working for a couple of years with no major issues. I replaced the LNB a few years ago, the problem was that due to the wind, I would have to retune my dish every so often, this got more frequent recently due to the clamps used (quite rusted and couldn't tighten them properly). It got to the stage where I was doing it at least once a week on average. Signal strength and quality was always sitting around 79% to 83%
In an attempt to fix this, I have relocated the dish, so it is more protected from the wind. I did this by moving it closer to the ridge line, and inverting the mounting pole so the dish was hidden behind the house, away from the worst of the winds. The upshot to this is a clearer line of sight to the direction the dish needs to be aimed. So, using a satellite finder, I realigned the dish yesterday to the strongest signal I could find. The signal strength is sitting around 80%, quality has jumped up to 98% to 100%.
However, I cannot tune it in to receive all the channels. All channels on the 12456 frequency seem to be fine, I cannot receive anything on the 12483 frequency. I tried a factory reset and did a blind scan, no change. Manual tuning for the 12483 frequency does nothing.
I'm going to try tweaking the dish later today, see if it is an alignment issue, the only thing that I have changed is the skew on the LNB, it is set to horizontal - but I believe both frequencies are broadcast on horizontal, so that shouldn't make a difference, should it? Is there a correct way up for the LNB?
I'm kind of lost as to how/what has happened, and I've obviously done something wrong, so any advice/ideas are most welcome.…
