Why didn’t my approved device

They suggest the problem may be the result of interference from some other transmission. They have encouraged me to put a complaint in to the Ministry of Economic Development Radio Spectrum Management team. I guess the more responses they get the more likely they are to be able to identify any interference.
If you want to try this you have to call them and ask for their questionnaire to be mailed to you. Either email them on info@rsm.govt.nz or call them on (03)962-2700. They will send out a copy of the form.
I am currently waiting for the next couple of occurences so I can record the time and channels accurately. I am not holding my breath for a quick fix!…

connected via HDMI. The box only outputs 576i and I found the picture pretty awful by my standards. The writing on the menus was jagged but the live TV pictures were reasonable. Everything was setup correctly. She asked me about recording but has no USB HDD which is needed for the recording function. I have convinced her to buy a MyFreeview recorder as she is in a UHF reception area (Lower Hutt). Satellite was only installed because the STB was a gift, she only has VHF antenna and there was an unused Dish on the roof. Can't wait for her reaction when she can view and record FreeviewHD.…
a STB fault and you should contact DishTV for advice. Bill McMurray said:
but in all the thousands of faulty LNBs I have replaced, I have never seen the message "LCN changed" come up on a satellite receiver as a result of a faulty LNB.
So I still suggest that you phone DishTV and explain your problem to them before doing anything else.

fected and coincides with the final re stacking process of Auckland infill towers which will be now using same frequencies as mt te aroha. You might find something else similar happened down your way. We previously had people having to migrate from perfect freeviewHD to satellite when same brain surgeon thought it perfectly sensible to broadcast same muxes and polarity on Rotorua transmitter, which created huge interference to viewers looking virtually same direction at the Tauranga broadcast. For some of those we turned their aerials round to te aroha. Now because they are elevated they get interference from Auckland now.…
llite Receiver. I am wondering if the fact that the " time" set on the menu and the date are both, wrong would have anything to do with my problem. I don't seem to be able to reset them. I go to settings and the only thing I can alter under time is the Auto, I can't go down to alter the actual time or date. I am thinking that maybe I should borrow another freeview box and see if I get a signal with it. Not sure when I can do that though. I have turned it all off at the wall for a few hrs hoping it might come right but no! The green light is showing on the hills box.…
roof and I have a SatView satellite receiver, but there is no signal after hooking up. This is a rental property and I don't wanna spend too much money on this. What's the best way to watch basic TV channels? Will those small indoor antenna work with freeview?…
