reception problems - your dish and Rodney's dish may be on the cusp of normal reception, but when there're changes in temperature or weather conditions, your reception gets affected. Best to consult an installer who can check your dish for you - especially if it's a 5+ years old, close to the water LNBs can get damaged and become faulty in 2-3 years due to constant exposure to salt water.
Oh and just to reinforce that that there was no transmission or any wider issues, not only did I check with the transmission provider but also sort some independent verification from other satellite viewers on the forum, who's had no issues over the last few days.…
issue there or all the same model are faulty - the only way to answer that is to try a different brand and of cause if the fault does not appear after several days then there is a clear issue with that model - you have said that they sent you another unit and it was the same - I have seen (Heard this issue years ago) when TVNZ first started public transmission on satellite and both RNZ CFM (Radio) would drop out every few minutes after a few days , a reboot would clear it for a few days - the issue was never resolved but clearly was an issue with the brand of box/firmware at the time (not the same brand that you have) - I would assume that the manufacturer/importer already knows the answer to this thread - cheers Robert…
arloaf it seems about half the Woolston are is unlikely to get UHF. Depending on where you are in Woolston you should be able to receive UHF. Have you checked your address here?

Failing that the dsh you have should work OK but you'll probably need a professional installer to set it up as you will need to know how to mount it with correct azimuth and elevation and also a satellite finder to fine tune the signal.
If you get a professional installer they will be able to tell you firstly if you can get UHF and secondly they can install the dish correctly.…
s are made on land rather than from space.
To find an installer head to our website here: http://www.freeviewnz.tv/get-freeview/installers/ and select WEST AUCKLAND from the drop down box.
To view all the channels on UHF please click here (select Channels via UHF first): http://freeviewnz.tv/freeview/live-tv/
Choice TV and HGTV are on the UHF network.
Let me know if you need more help!

Josh, I checked and the problem is still there, particularly noticeable when there are a lot of changes in the scene. In particular the Te Reo station ID with the moving green jade jitters once or twice as it rotates.
I was under the impression that the MUX was "MTS," not Kordia, if that's even relevant?
Thanks for your efforts,
Paul

e length of the run. I think I need to measure these voltages and see whether that is the problem. I will measure at the splitter first. Satellite Networks Motueka said:
Thats a 3x4 multiswitch not a splitter. Use the 18v port and dont turn off the LNB power in the other STBs. If you turn the power off in all but one STB then you will lose all signal when that STB is turned off. Also the splitters are diode steered so the power wont go back down the cable.
