hen she put it on it had a message saying no channels found. After no success of trying retuning them (even after a factory reset) blind scan etc., I took it to my house to try to do it in case it was her satellite dish but still can not retune it. Every thing appears to be alright, like get the menu etc. It searches but finds nothing. I'm not sure if all the settings are correct is what is wrong. Thanking you for any help. Kathy.…
no UHF aerial. Not sure whether my TV has in-built Freeview.
My question is: what can I get with Freeview satellite only, that will give me what I want (recordable, live pause, etc), or is it more advisable to just get a UHF aerial and FreeviewPlus. I'd rather the first option as I can't see me using OnDemand and getting a UHF aerial set up will cost more, but at the same time I don't want an inferior replacement of MySky.…

Simply take your box and any connections with you and, if your new home has an existing satellite dish / UHF aerial you should be able to connect straight to it.
If you need to arrange for a aerial to be installed in the new house, or if you experience any issues using your existing equipment with the new dish please contact your local installer. …
The following instructions are supplied by the manufacturer and extracted from the Dish TV website.
With some channels being transmitted on a Sky transponder, the satBox S2800 may need a rescan t
elivered over the air by the UHF Terrestrial signal therefore you need to be in a UHF recepton area and have a UHF aerial to make use of them. The On-Demand Apps and others work via your broadband connection and no antenna is necessary for them to work. As Freeview plus is not available via satellite, if you live in a satellite only area you can only make use of the online Apps. All the other functions require UHF. It would be nice if Freeview would publish something on their website that actually says how it all works rather than just tell us what features it has and how they work. Josh said:
Hi Brent
The FreeviewPlus application provides an enhance guide, a backwards 7 day guide for catching up, featured shows and movies. You will need to be connected to the Freeview broadcast to enable this feature as it relies on it and the internet to activate.
I hope this has helped.

hi, Josh
