off the UHF split cable as I only ever watch Sommet on it and it gets Sommet which is UHF only at the moment. I toggle between modes HDMI1 and UHF aerial to choose which channel to watch.
Biggles..the STB is tuned off satellite as far as Im aware as there is no UHF connection to the upstairs TV. Upstairs TV does not have inbuilt freeview. As far as I know Sky upstairs is simply a split feed from downstairs with booster..quality drops off markedly.
Interesting re LNB..to complete novice.…
nd 16th October. The change on the 8th had no impact, but the change on 16th caused the audio stream for Prime to lag the video feed by up to 3 seconds. Never lost Prime channel feed - just started experiencing the audio lag. All other channels OK. Have tried reloading the channels on the TV, but no improvement.
My TV feed routes through a Pioneer AV receiver, so will look at settings within the AV receiver to see if it is possible to add a delay, and resynch the two feeds. Not sure whether this approach will be channel specific, or affect all channels.

ice for $98. My son's next door neighbour had her new antenna + co-ax installed and connected to the TV and tuned up for $250.
As for your Freeview TV, you can now watch TV in HD and with surround sound (if you have a Home Theatre Amp) which you cant do via satellite without a MySky box with HD capability.
And I wouldn't think Benrow would be the cheapest place to buy a TV either. Did you compare prices with Clearance Shed and JB HiFi?…
ext thing to do is to check its settings. There should be two transponders (at least) programmed up. One at 12456 and one at 12483MHz and they should both be H polarity and 22500MS/s symbol rate.... edit: having looked at your picture, it is clear that these are correct...
If that is correct and you still have zero signal, then it must be a cable or dish problem. If there is anyone else that can loan you another decoder to try, that would be a good way to prove that your dish is ok.
Let us know what you find.

e but that gave me a worse result. nzdtv.com said:
Are you sure the satellite receiver even has component out? some of the low end cheap ones only have composite. E.g socket on back are yellow, red, white.
Please post the brand and model number of your receiver.

hich are on the same mux. You will be receiving the other channels via the coax only and probably due to deterioration of either the transmitted signal strength or the antenna setup the mux that carries Prime has dropped below minimum level for decoding and is weaker than the other two mux (all the other channels). The dish does nothing for reception on your TV and it's surprising you get any picture at all. You probably only get the other channels because you are in a very strong signal area. Get a splitter and connect the TV to the UHF antenna along with the PVR. Also read the manual for the TV. It explains all this.…
t the short piece of co-ax plugged into the STB. I can get a picture on my Sony TV with just a piece of wire stuck in the antenna socket as I'm in a strong signal area so it's nothing unusual.
Your TV is also FreeviewHD capable so just plug the co-ax lead into the TV and the wall socket for the external antenna. You don't need the STB except for recording on your VCR in which case plug the antenna into antenna input and antenna output to TV antenna input. Then you can watch one channel on the TV while recording another on the VCR.…
