Can you list the settings you are using?

Sounds like a wrong setting in the setup somewhere.

Settings are at factory default as follows,
Satellite 160.OE Optus D1
Frequency 12322mhz
Lnb power on
Lnb universal
Lnb frequency 9750 10750
DiSEqc SW off
Positioned setting none

Satellite 160.OE Optus D1
Frequency 12456,12483,12519mhz

SR 22500
Lnb power on
Lnb universal try standard or single
Lnb frequency 9750 10750  try 10750 or 11300
DiSEqc SW off
Positioned setting none

Thanks ,now have all the channels, including the scrambled sky channels is there a way of getting rid of the channels we cannot use?

What brand STB is it. They all do it differently.

Basically go into channel setup and delete from there. you should also be able to move the channels.

If you have all the channels then you probably did a Blind Scan. Try a FTA Scan. My new box gets about 126 channels on Blind Scan but only the Freeview Channels on a FTA Scan. Depending on the box there should be some means in the Menu of deleting and/or re-arranging channel lineup.
