Has anyone in the Nelson region noticed an increase in pixelation, over most channels, since the big retune on the 1st May? Channel 3 seems particularly bad.

Cheers

Should have CH29 as well. And CH28 from Kaka Hill/Botanical Ridge (same place).

I've done a scan here Mount Campbell has the following muxes active

47

Mainland TV is not from the same site but pretty much in the same general direction operating on channel 26. 8 TV services + 2 radios load from Channels 800-809

The only change in Nelson on 1 May was shifting of 4 channels to new RF Channel 28 or 29. Transmissions on all other channels should not have been affected so there should be no changes in reception strength or quality unless you have an antenna/cabling problem.

Yes, its been quite annoying and I have had to change channels to clear it. We are getting our signal from Mt Campbell. Lg TV and set top box box both been getting it.

Its been happening for 10 days or so.

Cheers

No sign of channel 29 I believe its not active here

My understanding is that CH28 (Kaka Hill) and CH29 Mt Campbell started up on 1 May when some channels were relocated.

As I don't live in the area I can't confirm.

There are still problems with Mt Campbell, apparently there is a problem with the fibre optic between Motueka and Blenheim

Mainland should not be affected

didnt they install fibre to correct microwave issues?

maybe sat networks would like to confirm where 26/27 live

and on the frequency page ch 29 is listed as jda 2 future

You will find where CH26 & 27 live here -

http://www.7-media.net/mainland/tuning.htm

Mainland Digital TV Transmitters

Observatory hill CH26 H - 25dbw

Takaka hill CH27 V - 29dbw

And this is why I thought Ch28 & 29 are now operating in Nelson.

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

ON THURS 1 MAY 2014 the transmission providers restacked some channels in Auckland to adjust frequency allocations as assigned by the Ministry for Business Innovation and Employment.

At the same time, AL JAZEERA, TVSN, YES SHOP and TE REO moved to new frequencies nationwide as transmission providers work to optimise how channels are transmitted on the Freeview|HD network and to enable new services or service enhancements.

If nothing changed in Nelson on 1st May then all signals should have been unaffected.

Perhaps someone in Nelson could confirm if CH28 & 29 are working or not?

Yes, Both here in Atawhai and the reli's in Stoke. It's appalling that these issues are back after so long. I was whinging about this the first time it happened when we first went High dodgy definition. Both our aerials point to Mt Campbell.

Ch 29 is for the upcoming world tv channels.

So does that mean 28 and 29 are not currently active?

As above earlier in the thread, I already confirmed 28 and 29 are not active in Nelson
