Hi can anyone tell me why these channels are on a different frequency? especially Four +1?

Depends on Viewership and which Mux they are broadcast on.

Not quite sure what you mean by different frequency for Four+1. Its on the same Mux as TV3, TV3+1, and TV 4 (Mediaworks). The Edge should be on the same Mux (Mediaworks).
Only on Satellite might it be different because The Edge and 4+1 are on the Sky Transponder and not Freeview.

It all depends on availability of space on the transponders.
Hi John,
These channels are put up on a Sky channel for Freeview, just like Prime. The reason is that there is no more satellite space on the existing Freeview channels.
When Freeview satellite started in 2006, there were a lot less channels than there are now.
