Freeview remote

The "Guide" button on my remote will not work. Is it a problem with the Rermote.

The remote transmits infra-red which is easily detected by your phone's camera. Turn on the camera in your phone and point the remote at the camera. Press the 'Guide' button. You will see it flashing in your phones camera. If it doesn't flash but other buttons do then the remote is faulty.
