Hey there hoping someone can help me! Today our veon sat101 receiver just lost sound! We were watching it as per normal and all of a sudden all sound just went. I tried different av leads, retuned it, turned it off for a while and still no sound. Do these boxes just not last long or is there something else I can try? Really can't afford to replace it right now :-( please any suggestions would be awesome thanks!

Hi Sara

How have you got the veon  connected to your TV ?

Do you still have sound on other inputs i.e DVD player etc

Free options  below

Take your veon to a friends home and see if it works.

If you have a HDMI cable and a TV that has a HDMI in try connecting that way.

The veon had a 2 year warranty from date of purchase so that may be an option.

I have a Veon 101 and its still working fine i think its about 2 and a half years old.

Thanks Paul for the suggestions. I have a DVD and PlayStation connected and they are fine. I also tried different inputs and RCA leads and is just the freeview box, everything else is working fine. Unfortunately I have an old school TV, no hdmi! I will try it on another tv.
Thanks!

Do you have a RF Lead ?

Most commonly supplied with a VCR.

You could try this to check if the sound is being sent over RF (default RF Channel 22)

Once you have it connected to TV , just use the TVs analogue tuner to scan for the Veon.
