Freeview cables

My daughtr has a mysky hdi box which was workn frm my old style tv until she had hr flatscreen. A sky technician had cnnectd new cables nn the lounge wea freeview nd mysky boxes were. I hve removed the mysky box nd tried to attach my freeview i now cnnot get a singal-I hve the composite cable frm tv to box nd also the cables frm the satillite dish to freeview box.

Several things it could be. May be interconnection errors or perhaps the wrong LNB freq set in the setup.

What model TV? What model Freeview box? Are you getting the STB Menu OK on the TV?

Check Dish cable is plugged in to Dish input and composite video out from STB to Composite in on TV unless it has HDMI input in which case use HDMI cable. Some STBs need composite video out to be enabled in setup menu.

Any chance of posting pictures of your connections?

HELP, HELP, HELP.... I hve disconntd a mysky box nd recnntd a DTVS freeview box to an old style tv-PHILIPS make. I rconntd all cables attachd to freeview nd including the sky digital satellite cable that the sky techician nstalld wen I moved addresses to make it an easy transition. This is now not working, the mysky box is now conntd in my rm nd working fine but the freeview in the lounge is nt.. I dnt want to call a techician that my cost me some dollars nd find out he may jst move or remove a cable or do somtng that takes 5mins, I wil b totally annoyed, please help.

Can you please tell me what the make / model of the DTVS box is? It seems like the MySky box that was in there used some settings in order to regonise the Satellite Dish, once you provide the model number then I can give you some initial instructions to try and allow Freeview to work.
