Hi,

we have an old style TV with Dish and new Freeview Satbox.

When everything went digital, we lost some channels. We have TV 3 & 4 and TV 3+ & 4+, Maori and Choice channels.  We bought a new receiver, but it cant find TV1 & 2, Prime or any of the other channels provided by Freeview.  We are tuning via Ku Optus D1 band and have tried tweaking the angle of dish, but its pointing NW like all other dishes in the area and was working fine before.

Why is the receiver finding only some channels?   Thanks Susan

I would suspect your LNB needs replacing. Often TVNZ channels are first to disappear when the LNB starts to fail. What model is your new box?

Hi Suz, As Biggles has stated below, the issue might be with your LNB on the Satellite Dish however try some quick DIY checks to make sure that it's not just a little tweak that stops you from getting a signal, read this page and see if you can get all channels loaded into your box: http://freeviewforum.co.nz/forum/topics/freeview-satellite-adjustin...

Let me know if this info helps, or you need more information about restoring the channels / satellite Dish adjustments.

Cheers, Joshua
