hi,i have a magic tv 3700 and haven't been able to program any recordings for the last week or so,always comes up with a code 2 error.arial was installed approx. 2 months ago by a professional installer.any help thanks

Unzip / Extract / Uncompress with any of the zip-compatible tools.

hi,things are looking better,pre programmed series recordings are now showing the next weeks time slots so fingers crossed

I'm very pleased to say that Dish TV support were able to help me fix my recording issues with the firmware update for my 3600. If this is the model you have you can download it from here - http://www.magictv.com/nz/downloads/mtv3600_3_19NZb6.zip and follow these instructions. Waiting a few mins (#2) seems to be the key as it didn't work for me at first but I think I didn't wait long enough. Good luck!

To make a booking for a channel:

1. Please switch to that channel (or mux) first.

2. Then wait for a few minutes.

3. Finally bring up the EPG to make the booking.

MTV3700TD users in Nelson area (or experiencing the Code -2 error issue) please upgrade to this:

Please perform Settings -> System -> Factory Reset after upgrade.  The To-Do List will be cleared, so please rebook the programmes for recording.

This firmware now includes a workaround for transmission errors in Nelson area.

Hi folks, Dunedin here. Error code 2 had popped up for us today. I was on tv 3 and brought up the guide. Couldn't record anything that way, changed channel and brought up the guide and no issues. Back to 3 and the problem is still there. And, like other users, pressing the info button shows outdated information. I have a 3700 and a friend of mine has a 3600 and we both get code 2 on tv 3. Surely this can't be a software issue?

How bout that, it's happening again (in nelson too)  It's freeviews issue and they need too fix it asap

And by the way it's about time they fixed the tv guide on tv 1 and 2 as well

I noticed this in Wellington on Sunday. The  "info" display  is out of date, or missing on all my devices, Samsung Smart tv, magic tv (3600) and a Panasonic TV.  Last night I got the code 2 error on magic tv trying to schedule a movie recording on TV3, but retried and it worked. It only affects the channel 32 ( I get my signal from Mt Kau Kau) stations (  TV3, TV4,(& +1's), Edge TV and a  shopping channel). All other muxes seem to produce the correct info.
