Hi there,
We have a Dish Tv s7090pvr box and live in Geraldine South Canterbury.
A quick message flashed on screen and our channels got scrambled ie channel 1 had tv four showing and channels 1 2 and 3 weren't there at all so I tried running update scan and it found nothing.
I then tried tuning wizard and nothing changed so I factory reset thinking I could use tuning wizard to reload channels but now database is empty and all tuning options come up as failed.
Now I am completely lost and don't know what to do!
Help please!! It's Friday evening, it's raining, we have three boys and it could be a very long weekend with no telly lol

Cheers Ange

Turn the unit off at the wall for a few minutes then try another factory reset.

Thanks Paul just tried it ...... Tuning failed

The LNB settings maybe wrong .

Menu  / Installation / Tuning Wizard / Blind Scan

Pressing the Yellow button and selecting LNB setup brings
you to the page shown in the screenshot below

From here you can set the LNB settings

Try changing the low and high to 11300 or 10750

Then try a blnd scan if you have a signal.

Comes up with ku band as type and can't change low and high on that
Strength and quality read 0% all the time just realised. Something wrong with dish?

Select the Ku band and use the right arrow key to change , the number below should change automatically.

It will read 0% if the LNB settings are incorrect or the LNB has developed a fault or the dish has moved.

Hey Paul, I think that guide is a old version (although the manual is a recent release)  and recent upgrades to firmware has changed the look I recall when I used to have the same model.

Ange, if you want could you take a photo and upload this for Paul to look at, This is the  Menu  > Installation > Tuning Wizard >Blind Scan page.

Dish TV's offices are closed over the weekend and if this case is not solved then I recommend you contacting them on Monday here https://www.dishtv.co.nz/contact-us/Hamilton-Office/

Thanks for help guys!

Opps my apologies Paul it is the same (For some reason I recall other parts of the operation settings have changed over a few years)

Can you change the type using the left and right arrow keys ?

The most common types of lnb are 10750 and 11300
