Hey, So I recently purchased a freeview player (DishTV Aerialbox T5050). Currently in the main living room we are running another dishtv box via UHF aerial. I bought this new box for my bedroom and I am running the signal from a 3 output splitter. When I went to plug it in however it did not work, no channels picked up. So, I took my box into the living room, plugged it in there and it worked. So I thought it might be the output port that I had it plugged into for my room, so I plugged the cable going into my room, into the output port of the box for the living room, still wasn't working. This has led me to believe that it might be the coax cable that I am using for my bedroom? Is this possible or could there be something else wrong? And if it is the cable, is it as simple as just purchasing a new one?
Thanks.

What would I be looking for/at exactly?

Have a close look at the splitter
Make sure all 3 outputs are passing signal and the signal is getting to your room. Sounds like a break in the coax somewhere.
Edit...
Sorry, just re-read your post. Yes, it looks like the cable you use for your room is faulty.
That's the only feasible thing I could think of from my experimenting. Do you know anywhere that sells the cables already set up with correct connectors?

What type of splitter? is it one of the old plastic saddle clamp type or a metal one with F connectors?
if you swap the cable from port/outlet 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3 etc and a previously working tv stops and the non working tv starts then the fault is the splitter which is relativly easy to replace
if there is no change as in the non working tv is still no go then it will be a cable fault
and it can take a long time to drag a new cable through the existing cable path
See Network Status page for updates.
