Will Freeview's terrestrial service, Freeview|HD, ever be available in Whakatane and eastern Bay of Plenty? New Zealand television is going digital - the old analogue signals for the Central & Upper North Island will cease on 1 December 2013. We'll be looking forward to Freeview|HD and the new prepay television service, IGLOO.

Just for interest I did an install for the Old Kawerau town soccer club in Peter Lippa Drive many years ago long before satellite off UHF off Te Aroha (3 years before Mt Edgecumbe came on with it) - the first Sky in Kawerau as far as I am aware

dont know about kawarau but since much of whakatane in line of sight to te aroha should have a good chance of getting freeview hd

how well does tv central come through?
