I've lost Channels 16 and 17. Can you help please?

About a week ago, we lost the signal for Channel 16, Al Jazeera. Not knowing what else to do, we ran the auto tune function, thinking it would drag the signal back in again. However, all that has happened is that Channel 16 and 17 have disappeared completely, plus one or two others I think, one of the Chinese channels and Apnea, I think it is. We have Freeview built into our television set. Can anybody tell me how to resolve this please?

Looks like you've lost one MUX due to poor signal strength. Firstly check your signal strength and quality on channels you are receiving OK then check your antenna and coax for any problems if strength/quality is low. Try a manual tune for the missing channel which would be either CH28 or 36 if you get your signal from Wharite.

P.S. Quite often the autotune function will skip channels that are weak and marginal strength but manual tune will find them.
