Can't connect TV

We have just moved into an apartment and have been unable to get our TV working. Any suggestions gratefully received.

The Bodycorp guide says that Freeview via satellite is available in all apartments along with 'channeling for Sky'. We used our TV and set top box successfully in our last place, with a cable supplied by our landlord. Had to buy our own cable for the new place, after describing our setup to Jaycar. It fits the top, blue socket but no joy. With an adapter it fits the bottom socket, but although our box installation process does find the available NZ channels, it all ends with a message saying it can't get a signal. Neighbours couldn't help as they all seem to be on Netflix. We're at a loss, and we're not sure what the 2 sockets are for.

The top socket will be for satellite and the bottom socket is for terrestrial [aerial] . Also what sort of set top box do you have i.e is for sat or aerial

It's a Dish TV box for satellite. The Bodycorp guide says there's no terrestrial available.

So what you will need is a cable with a screw connection on both ends , screw one end to the IN connection on the sat box and the other end to the top socket on the wall
