8:46 pm a very quick flach of picture and its gone again

No signal in Paraparaumu Beach too

looks like all channels are off at Ngarara Road   ( once again )

So does anyone who provides tech support read this?

I guess that means there is no back up power system if the electricity is out. Is there also a power outage over there?

Meantime, network status for freeview reports all normal.

Why oh why do these outages keep happening? Is it nature (high winds), infrastructure (needs upgrading) or incompetence (planned outage but no-one told viewers)? I am really sick of this.

Hi Guys,

I have logged on and saw the outage report in the areas, While I do not work for the transmission provider Kordia who owns the transmission tower (Ngarara) I have updated the network status page and will follow the status on the Electra Power website and update when new info comes in. Unfortunately I am unable to seek further information from Kordia however I will do my best to get the forum updated when there is progress on restoring the power in your area.

Josh

So do they not have some form of uninterruptible power supply?

Hi Josh, Thanks for your update & looking into it. Signal is back up now.
