Hi All,
Told Sky to go jump and now only have the Freeview box hooked up.
Also got Netflix, so haven't actually been watching much TV for last couple of weeks. I've noticed the box turn on and record pre-booked stuff so assumed we were all good.
Had some time yesterday, so turned the box on and got a "No Signal" error - "check cable or satellite dish"
It's been recording, so this error must have just happened in the day or so before I switched on to look.
Sat Dish appears OK - and don't *really* want to spring for a new cable if it's something obvious.
Does a reset wipe the recordings?
Any idea what I'm dealing with?
TIA.

Hi Marcus
How long have you had SKY before switching to Freeview?

Hi,
We had Sky for years - but 14ish months in this house.
Freeview box was working fine (both before Sky was switched off and subsequently) as I have been watching it - just not so much lately.
The signal cable from the wall is the one we were using with the Sky decoder.
Hi,
You could try a factory reset, however this will wipe all settings and recorded content, and you will need to rescan again. If the rescan fails then check to se if cables and cords are correctly connected.
If you are still having some issues:
Looks like you will need to purchase a new LNB (It's the little machine at the front of the front of the dish) The LNB especially SKY ones can age and fail overtime, a replacement is cheap and easy to install. You can find cheap and reliable LNBs at your local installer or online at sites such as TradeMe.

Urgh - that's awkward. Our dish is in a really inconvenient spot on the house.
Can I try a rescan without resetting? Will that wipe any recordings?
You can rescan the channels without resetting, Your saved recordings will not be lost however you might need to rebook any scheduled recordings on the EPG
