Options for getting freeview
Hi I have a question. I got a tv with built in freeview given to me. Now the problem is that my flatmate (the person who owns the house) doesn't want any holes drilled in the house to install an aerial or anything like that. Now from what I can understand and gather from your map on your website that it says the freeview hd is very likely in the area I live (in the suburb of Marewa in Napier). My only option I have is to get an indoor antenna. When I went to get one today from a certain retailer they said it wasn't worth it because the signal would not be that great. I was just wondering if that is true? Do the indoor antenna work well in Napier. Can you let me know asap. Also if the retailer is saying that why don't you get someone to come test what the signal strength is in different places especially for people who could be in situations like mine where they have no other option but using an indoor antenna.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, hope it's not too late....
I'd go with the recommendation of your local retailer - they would have in-depth knowledge about local topography based on their previous experiences with customers who might've opted for an indoor aerial.
It's best to persuade your flatmate to install a UHF aerial externally as you'll both be able to watch selected programmes in high definition with Freeview|HD (which is the service accessed via the UHF aerial) - with the right set-up you'll have amazing picture quality to enjoy for free!

Ideally they recommend you have an external aerial outside, but next best thing to try is using an external aerial inside and point in direction of transciever.
