I recently had Freeview TV and bluray installed and was receiving all channels nicely however now tv1 tv2 and all their plus ones ie all the tvnz channels are now not working. All other channels are still going strong. The antenna is new as is the coax. I have attempted to realign the antenna with no change. It appears the signal strength is good 9/10 but quality is 0-1. Tv3 is both 9or10/10. We are pointing towards waiheke and we live in cockle bay

Check that your antenna is vertically polarised. All the in-fill Transmitters are vertical except Pinehill.  Low quality on just the TVNZ Mux would indicate a possible interference problem. Maybe a Sky Modulator on Channel 28 or nearby?

It's vertical. Maybe a masthead amp would be worthwhile. It's strange. Was great a week ago.

If your signal strength is OK then a masthead amp is unlikely to help. You need to find out what is causing the low quality reading.

Fault was with the coax from the wall to the TV. Strange to only lose one frequency?

Good find. Usually the last thing anybody thinks of. Some of those short cables can be really bad. I've had a couple over the years that didn't work at all and that was in the days of analogue TV. I always make my own now with rg6 co-ax and f plugs.
