HI all.

I have had a DishTV S7090PVR for a couple of years now and have had nothing but problems with it.  As far as I know it has the latest version update not that any of the updates have helped with some of the issues.  Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems which I have listed below.

-  Freezing for no reason on any channel at anytime.  You can watch what is currently being shown but nothing on remote works so unit has to be turned off...which leads to my next issue..

-  When trying to power the unit back up after shutting it down it wont work.  All I can hear is a ticking sound in the unit.  The power light is on but unit wont kick into gear.  It can take up to half a day trying to get it to powerup.

-  Losing reception on all channels at random times of the day or night.  You can be flicking through channels at one stage then the next you cant watch anything.

Any help or feedback would be great.

From what you have said, it looks like the unit may need to be replaced as there might be a defect in the system, Have you tried a full system reset (which will involve losing any saved recordings?)

Thank you for getting back to me. No dont think I have done a system reset...only turned off power and restarted. What is the correct proceedure to do this and I will give it a go.

Read the manual. Page 30.

Hi Aaron, 

Biggles is on to it, however if you do not have the manual with you follow the below procedure:

on your remote press MENU>Installation>Factory Reset> Pin 0000. Retune and test to see whether the issue has gone or has remained.
