Hi Josie

Is it just TV3 ? or is it a group of channels are are not available?

Regards
Dish TV Support

Well I haven't had a tv for a few years so I'm not sure what channels there are now. These are the channels I currently have: tv1, tv1+1, tv2, tv2+1, four+1, prime, the edge tv, and maori tv

The Freeview website has the up to date channel lists on Freeview Satellite here http://www.freeviewnz.tv/tv-guide/freeview-channels.aspx

Just select "Freeview Satellite" from the options.

Cheers
Joshua

Which "options"? I can't find "Freeview Satellite" anywhere in the menu options.

I don't need to know which channels are available. I want to know how to get them all. I can't get tv3

I think Joshua was trying to elucidate what other channels you are missing hence the link to Freeview site. You did say you didn't know what channels there are now. The link tells you what's available on Satellite when you choose the Satellite option. You can then see what's missing on your tuner. It could be helpful to diagnose your problem if we know what channels you are missing.

They are missing an entire group.

Rescan on Dish TV Satbox S7070r

The following instructions are supplied by the manufacturer and extracted from the Dish TV website.

With some channels being transmitted on a Sky transponder, the S7070r may need a rescan to locate the transmission.

The steps to do this are as follows:

Press the Menu button to bring up the main menu
Select Installation and press OK
Select Tuning Wizard and press OK
Enter the PIN code for the unit (the default is 0000)
Select Blind Scan and press OK
Press OK to start the Scan process
Select "NO" for network scan and press OK

The receiver will then scan through and locate the transmission. This process will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Once the scan process is completed press Exit to return.

Hi Josie, We are typing to help you solve your solution by going through a process where I  watch for any questions posted by the initial member, I answer those questions with extra solutions/references as requested which will allow us to solve your reception issue quickly.

Try the steps that Paul has given you and see if this helps in restoring all the channels.

Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend.
Joshua

I did the rescan and have the same channels. Still no Group 2 channels :(

In that case it may be a LNB (failing) or dish alignment issue. What signal strength are you getting on the channels you can receive?
