Our 2nd TV which has a areial cable running via a little silver box thingie suddenly says NO SIGNAl. I have now fiddled with it so much I no longer remember if it should be on ATUO time zone or not. And  it isn't showing the correct time anyway and it won't let me alter it. It is a Hills Box and we use a satellite dish.  Can any one help me Thanks

Some more info might help. Is the Hills box the "little silver box thingie"or is that something else? What is the Model number for the Hills box and how is everything connected?

Hey Biggles

You can now find out what model Eliz has by going to her own page here under "Profile Information"

This also applies to everyone on the forum.

Cheers! :-)

Thanks Joshua, forgot about that. However she doesn't specify model for both boxes. Still don't know how it's all interconnected.

The silver thingie is a little box about 5cmx3cm and the aerial cable goes into it and then two are at the other end. One of those aerial cables then goes to the 2nd TV. The Hills box is HSMX.200 Satellite Receiver. I am wondering if the fact that the " time" set on the menu and the date are both,  wrong would have anything to do with my problem. I don't seem to be able to reset them. I go to settings and the only thing I can alter under time is the Auto, I can't go down to alter the actual time or date. I am thinking that maybe I should borrow another freeview box and see if I get a signal with it. Not sure when I can do that though. I have turned it all off at the wall for a few hrs hoping it might come right but no! The green light is showing on the hills box.

PS. Should I try putting it back to default setting? I haven't done that yet  because I might lose the channels that I have tuned in .But no doubt that can be done again. Thanks

OK, that's a splitter. If it goes to the TV it looks like you are using a modulator output from somewhere which is why I asked how is everything interconnected. Is the STB on the other TV working OK. If so just swap boxes and see what works.

Theoretically with two STB and two TV you should have the Dish on the roof connected to both boxes via a splitter and each box connected to Tv via HDMI or Composite A/V. There shouldn't be any antenna leads connected to your TVs unless you have a modulator to distribute the output from the STB via analogue rf.

What is on the splitter? Ac/dc pass on both outputs or only 1(look for red lines) the hills hsm075 to non ac/dc out if there is a choice

I think I will just have to give up and have the one TV. It all seems too hard. They have both been working OK for the last 6mths or more, so I don't know what has happened. I have tried the Hills box in the other TV and it says' no signal" when it's plugged in there. I don't want to try my "dish" box in the 2nd TV in case I muck that TV up too.! The splitter is a Lemma 5450 two way splitter with one IN and two OUT. No red lines only red printing that says all ports power pass Diode protect.  Thanks ??

Sounds like your Hills box has died.
