Help .....my t5050 box all of a sudden comes up with no signal. .was working fine .can sort of make out the silhouette of people on screen sometimes but other than that nothing.onehunga Auckland

Afternoon Force 

Can you first please try reseting and rescanning the device and see if reception resumes on your unit, If you are still having issues with your signal the next step is to check your UHF aerial to see if it needs to  be realigned however if all of a sudden you received the No Signal message ater good reception then there may be a few other things we can have look at. 

But for now let us know how you get on with the above steps.

Hi there. ..I cant even get into settings on the unit to reset it ..

Can you tell me what method you used to connect the unit to your TV? HDMI, AV Cables or Component

Have you tried unplugging from the power supply for more than 30 secs and plugging back in again?

I used av cables I think the red, yellow and white ones..so I switched them with another set but still no results. ..
Yeah I have tried unplugging it....but still the same a couple of times

What antenna are you using?

Your profile is somewhat misleading and needs updating.

It says you receive Freeview via Satellite and also have an indoor UHF antenna and no STB but you do have a UHF STB (T5050) which needs an outdoor UHF antenna. Depending on your location an indoor antenna is not likely to work very well in Onehunga.

Are you able to get the STB menu on your TV?

Yeah sorry about that ..I know nothing about any of that when filling out that profile it wouldn't let me skip those questions even tho I didnt know the answers. ...all I did was buy this box but dont know any of the terms ..im sorry for the inconvenience
The apartments I stay in all have what seems like satellite dishes hence the reason I put sattalite...Sorry
