Hi there

We haven't had our freeview box working for months. Please bear with me, as I don't know much about how these work!

When I go to satellite setup and select optus D1 (LNB. No 5, frequency 10750) it shows 0% quality 0% strength.

However, when I do a blind scan it finds channels, however the only channels that show up are from Hungary/Romania etc.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the satellite - for example, I get sky test channels and optus test channels. I think I must have some sort of setting wrong.

I've reset it to factory settings and still have the same problem - but I'm sure there is just something I am doing wrong.

I don't know what the disEqC means, or what carriers are vs. satellites. But I figured somebody here must be an expert and could maybe get me going in the right direction.

If your getting loads of foreign channels their coming of optus d2. If your using asky dish with dual throats try turning off the 22khz . otherwise your dish is pointing at the wrong satellite

Thank you! I turned off the 22khz and am doing a scan. However, the foreign channels are still showing up. It does say OPTUS D1 satellite - but the transponders or recievers that come up are weird (Telstra Broadband? Site-1? TP_12545) I don't know what these are and how they work though?

Since turning off the 22khz it has found more channels (60+) but none of them are normal freeview channels.

So you reckon our dish must be pointing the wrong direction?

Sounds like your dish is pointing to D2.

Telstra Broadcast Services TP 12546 V is on Optus D2 so you must be pointing at the wrong satellite.

And you probably have polarity set to Vertical too?
