Have not been able to view Freeview - all
I get is a black screen from my app on my Samsung Smart Tv 4HD - tried reinstall but still the problem - it has been like this since last week

Same issue here..

Samsung TV KS8000 model 2016 4k smart TV

did reset (also factory reset)

worked afterwards but stopped again with black screen when i turned off the TV and un powered it...

It will only work if you reset your smart hub on your tv - login again to FreeView! If you leave the app or turn the tv, you will have to reset the smart hub again and login in again to freeview- and all your other apps ( Netflix , Lightbox etc)
3 x times to Samsung support and numerous times to Freeview - both say it is each other’s issue!!!!!!!!!!!

I have spoken to Samsung X3 and they are still working on it . FreeView have not responded!!!!!!

Strange that Panasonic is having issues too , and FreeView are saying it's Samsung's issue! 

Sorry it’s still acting this way for you all, I’m still keeping my eye on the discussion as I had another glitch day before yesterday it did what it did before the the Big Black Out, stalled while trying to load a program then went black while trying to reopen the freeview app, I tried again and it opened and it’s worked since, but I get nervous every time I open it, and the smallest glitch turns me into jello ! Let’s hope they can get it worked out soon for everyone 

Mine has been blacked out for a month or more now, but I can still access freeview via remote control and not use smart hub...can you folk do that or are you blocked completely? It's a big pain, I still consider my tv new it's a bit over 2 years old but hey, they're expensive, I expect the services on it to last longer. All other features on smart hub are fine!!!

Hey Annette mine is a 2016 samsung it went black on 31st october when freeview did there update mine has been working again for a couple of weeks now as a new update came through dated 29th August 2019 version 1.10.22 so obviously they have gone back to the older update before 31st october hope they sort it for other tvs mine is still working great I think its freeview they arent sure of what they are doing

Hi Chris, same with me, I have rebooted all the apps on several occasions (which is a right pain in the proverbial because you have to reenter all of your logins for all of your apps every time!!) It worked again for a very short time and then it disappeared into the big black hole again.

Please fix this freeview, I love the app!!!

Wahoo!!! I just tried to load again just now and it worked!!!! I've done nothing and it's going for the first time in a month or more!! Someone somewhere has done something so thanks!! Long may it last.. Great app!!!

Fantastic, I hope it has fixed it for me as well!  I am really sick of having to enter all of the passwords though.
