I know John, that's the most frustrating about it having to redo all your passwords everytime you reset it!

Hi Eden,

It is frustrating!  Especially when you get an email from them saying that they have fixed it and all you need to do is turn your TV off at the wall and reboot it....  Tried that 30 times already but tried again and it's still not working!  Thanks for the heads up about changing the rating though!

I'm still having same black screen problem as everyone else. Samsung tv probably 18months old. Very frustrating, have tried powering everything off and rebooting system with no success. Today I did get it to work by just using the red 'A' button on the Samsung remote, which took me to the freeview guide then cursor over to 'on demand ' and I was able to catch up on my show that way. The app icon on the smart tv home hub thingy just results in a black screen!!!

Hey Annette my samsung is the same I can get on demand by the red button but it's a pain as the freeview on demand app that we have that is now just a black screen was awesome and so easy, as with the other you are using your cursor heaps. Hope they fix it will be really annoyed if they don't as I was always using it as obviously every one else was too

I’ve been wondering as this seems to be Samsung related, I got my tv by joining up with Trustpower, did anyone else get theirs that way ? Just wondering if it’s possibly related to a certain model of tv or anything, probably not but never hurts to ask ...

i got my Series 8 Curved TV Samsung 65"   from Noel Lemming - 18 months ago  - so i don't think that is the problem :)

Hi eden I got hold of Samsung they said it’s mostly affecting 2016 model televisions

but it’s not a fault with the tvs, the fault lies with freeviews last update

Rachel, ours is a curved tv from noel leemings too, I'm inclined to agree with John that it's not a problem with our TV's more of an issue with an update as the fault happened overnight, about 2-3 weeks back...
It is a great app and hopefully freeview can sort it, I'm slightly less grumpy now I got it to work via the remote red A button!! I'd tried everything more than once too!!!

this issue happened to me with Freeview not long after i brought the TV and they fixed the update and all i had to do was reinstall via the app.

This fix is taking soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much longer - i work for a software development company and it is getting ridiculous the time it is taking :)

Thanks all for your ongoing patience, we do understand how frustrating this can be and hopefully OnDemand can be a full run ship soon!

Regards, Josh

Thanks Josh
