Hi,
Got two receivers: DishTV Satbox-plus S7080 and an older Dick Smith DSE 7500 connected via a splitter
to a Low Noise 11300MHz L.O. KU Band LNB.
A few days ago both receivers started to have no signal after heavy rain. Switched off both, unplugged, plugged back after some time and came back alive. Signal and Quality all as it was when working fine.
I checked the dish and LNB position. Looks all fine.
Happened again yesterday, same procedure, I checked the dish and LNB position. Looks all fine.
Took LNB off seems there was moister/wet at at connection. Dried it as far as I could and attached LNB again. Plugged the two receivers back in after some time and came back alive. Signal and Quality all as it was when working fine on both TV's and receivers all fine.
It happened again a short while ago. No signal, both receivers. Is it the LNB by any chance still having moisture? Any thoughts?
Thanks Pete

Hi
It is likely the LNB that is having an issue, this is probably because the LNB is old and has deteriorated over time. It might need to be replaced which will solve the issues with the signal at certain times of th day.

Thanks Josh,
Very weird, it seems to be again working, Signal Strength and Quality all normal, both receivers. I will keep an eye on it.
Thanks Pete
Thanks Pete, please do keep an eye and let me know if you encounter the issue again ! Thanks Heaps!
