I have lost these channels but it was after I followed the instructions on this website to select Installation & Settings, Update & Factory Settings, Reinstallation, Yes, Region and OK.
I then checked the channels I had and the above are missing.  All others are there.
I then did a manual update to see if they came back but they haven't.
This is really annoying as it should be a simple thing to do.
What do you suggest I do to fix this?  I have a Hills HSM075.

Hi Tessa

Sorry to hear you are having issues with getting the services added in correctly, please follow the following instructions to add the services in the right place so you don't get the rolling ticker banner.

  1. Press Menu
  2. Select Installation & Settings
  3. Select TV Reception & Channel Search
  4. Select Manual Channel Search
  5. The Frequency number should be highlighted, using they keypad on the remote enter in 12519 Then press down for Polarization, set this to Horizontal. Head down to Symbol Rate 22500 then Network Search to Off / On (Doesn't really Matter.)
  6. Press Start Search

The Hills receiver will now search for the new services, once completed EXIT and you should have Four Plus 1, Prime and Edge TV in the right place. Let me know if you encounter any issues.

This is different to what is given on the first instructions on this site.  I am wondering if I should do what I did this morning and change the LNB number because I did notice that only the strength was showing and not the quality.  Or, should I do what you have suggested instead?

Hi Tessa

No the LNB setting should remain as is, try the above instructions and if they fail then there is something wrong with the dish, can you confirm you can receive the other channels normally with no issues?

Kind Regards

Yes, all the other channels are there.  Are you quite sure I should carry out your instructions and not the original ones?  Like, with your instructions, does this mean it only searches for the missing channels?

Hi Tessa,

Your initial post stated that the ones provided on the original lost the channels, my instructions will install the new channels which will result in restoration of Four Plus 1, Prime, The Edge TV without the ticking banner.

Okay, I'll carry out your instructions then.  Fingers crossed and I'll let you know tomorrow.

Well, I got home and followed your instructions but it said no channels were added, no signal found.  Great.  I tried three more times and nothing.  I then couldn't even take it off that screen to simply go back to the channels I had.  So I gave up.  Luckily, I have another set top box (Loranz) which has the rabbit ear aerial, so I got that and hooked that up to the lounge TV and managed to watch TV last night.  Really not impressed with having to do these things.  Why the heck is Prime changing anyway - probably because it's owned by Sky.  Anyway, I shouldn't have to buy another set top box just because this model is 'old' - it was absolutely fine before I had to muck around doing this.  Any solutions?
