when it checks for a over the air update at 4am the reciever doesnt return to stanby it stays on and would be nice if it had a lower power mode so when the unit is in stanby the hard drive turns off to i have this unit in my bedroom when i turn it off to go to sleep i can hear the hard drive still going

Can you confirm what Software version you are using?

Thanks for your assistance.
Details are as follows:
Hardware v0.1
Software v1.0.2
Region Auckland
I have turned off auto software updates, as unit keeps turning itself on when it is off overnight/during day. Although still does with this function turned off.
When I check for updates it says there are none.
Thanks
Teresa

Hi Teresa

Below is a download link for the Zygo S2000 software update, please unzip the file to a USB flash drive and then place into the USB port at the rear of the unit. The software should start installing automatically.

http://firmwaretest.dishtv.co.nz/Zygo-Release-V1.1.1-2015-09-01-USB-Upgrade.zip

If you did not notice the unit updating the software and the USB drive has been inserted for 5 min, go to the Menu - Information and check if the software version says V1.1.1, if it does then it has updated, If it does not say V1.1.1 make sure you have unzipped / extracted the downloaded file. You should see the below folder and files on your flash drive.....

CCB8F1
H239-NZ.oad
version.dat

After the software has installed correctly it will be Factory Reset. Follow the on screen options to re-tune your unit back in, After that you are all go. Remember to rebook your shows in the guide.

Let me know how you go

Thanks for this.
Just a question before I do. Will I loose all the saved recordings? And if so, is there a way to save recordings onto the flash drive and reinstall after software update?

Hi Teresa

It will keep recordings, just let the unit update and you will be good to go!

Phew, good to know I won't have upset kids.
Will try later and let you know how I get on. Thanks very much. Teresa

Cannot comment on the powering up, but on the mention of 'recording failures'.

I had signal strength issues from the use of two splitters (one for the house, one for the box) so rearranged temporarily so only a single input was connected. From that experience I deduced that normally one input was used for viewing and the other for recording. If your recordings are failing then perhaps one input isn't connected properly.
