Here's a firmware for the MTV3600TD customers who wish to rename the programme names garbage. In addition, it includes a final attempt at fixing the reboot at wakeup issue. A Customer has been testing this firmware over the weekend and has not seen the crash yet.
Magic TV MTV3600TD Firmware 6.08 beta:
http://www.magictv.com/nz/downloads/mtv3600_6_08NZbeta.zip
This is the MTV3700TD firmware 6.07 beta 6 back ported to MTV3600TD, so it has:
- Add iPhone/iPad/Android remote control app support (the MTV3600TD needs to be connected to the WiFi router as the mobile device does; if the WiFi router has a feature to "separate" a WiFi device from other devices it needs to be turned off)
- Add rename function for recorded programmes
- Add audio delay setting
- Add built-in volume adjustment (Settings -> Audio -> Volume; can also be controlled via remote control if the volume buttons have not been programmed)
- Add graphic prompt for radio channels
- Add favourite channels
- Add support for XBox 360 and MCE remote control (needs to be enabled by using Magic TV remote or the remote app first)
- An experimental change for the wakeup reboot issue
In case there is a serious issue with the 6.x firmware, please downgrade to firmware 3.20.
** IMPORTANT: Switching between 3.x <-> 6.x firmware REQUIRES a factory reset after upgrade.

Will a Factory Reset on the MTV3600 refresh the HDD, losing recorded programs?
The recorded programmes will remain. However, the settings, channels, and most importantly, to-do list will be wiped, so you'll need to go through the guided setup, and re-add all your bookings.
OK, that's good news. I was a bit concerned as an earlier post by Debbie King reported the loss of the programs on the HDD on a T1050PVR following a factory reset.
I'm having the same problem in fast forward and fast rewind. In fast rewind at 2x and 4x it stutters back and forward over the same few seconds of the program. I haven't done a factory reset yet and tossing up between doing so or installing 3.20.
I gave up on 6.08 tonight and loaded 3.20. Fast forward/rewind is fine again.
You may try this 3.21, which is the same as 3.20 but with a modification for the wakeup-reboot issue:

I don't have a wakeup-reboot issue. I recall that 3.21 was recommended ONLY for those with a wakeup-reboot issue, or maybe it was to do with Nelson. 3.20 is working fine.
No. "3.21 is the same as 3.20 but with a modification for the wakeup-reboot issue"
Please try this 6.08beta2 firmware and see if its behavior is closer to firmware 3.18/3.20/3.21 regarding FF:
