I have a Dish TV S7090 PVR. There's an intermittent issue where the screen goes blank for a second or two. It happens when watching live TV & durng playback, so I acknowledge that it may be the TV rather than the box - but it's a bit hard top test that without either a different TV or a different box.
Can you tell me how you have connected the box to the TV? through the HDMI port or AV Cables (Red Yellow White)
Are you able to connect another HDMI device and see if you can see that on the TV? if you cant see anything then it is likely that the TV'S HDMI port has a fault.
