record to usb stick on sat box then watch on laptop providing the laptops media player supports the file type like .ts,avi,mpeg,mp4 etc

Hi bundy

That depends on your Satellite Receiver, each brand and make are different, at the moment you can't directly record onto the computer from a satellite box however as Willis has noted. you can connect a USB Hard Drive into the box and record from that which can be transferred into the laptop. Refer to your User Manual on how to do this or if your stuck, give me your model number and I can get some info for you.
