I have a couple of issues with the new Freeview on Demand and our Panasonic Viera Smart TV.

1.)  when using the new Freeview On Demnd App I have found that I can no longer access or watch all the On Demand shows that I used to be able to watch on the TVNZ and TV3 On Demand apps.  For example, I wanted to watch something that was available on the TVNZ on Demand on our computer, but it wasn't available to watch on the Freeview on Demand on our TV.  The show was showing in the listings, but it wouldn't play as it said it was only available on TVNZ On Demand.

2.) Following on from that, when the new Freeview on Demand appeared on to our TV, it seems to have deleted our access to the individual On Demand apps for TVNZ and TV3 .... which means we now can't actually watch all the On Demand content we used to be able to watch on our TV.   The Freeview App doesnt let us watch all the content that is on TVNZ and TV3 On Demand.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Has anyone found any solutions?  If I could just reload the old apps I would .... but don't know how to, and can't understand why they were removed in the first placed.

Thanks in advance

This seems to be a problem with Smart TVs and new technology. Problem is they are TVs and not computers. They have very limited computing power. Easiest way to watch what you want is use a Laptop or PC with its HDMI out plugged into the TV as a monitor and use the appropriate websites (TVNZ, Three etc) via the Computer. I have a HTPC and an Android TV box and never have any of these problems. I don't have a Smart TV and don't want one. IMO the problems will only get worse. I'm afraid this doesn't help much with your problem but if you have a Laptop or PC it does offer an alternative that works.

thanks for your suggestion, but I think it's an issue with Freeviews new On Demand app .... as we could watch these shows on our TV two weeks ago before Freeview forced their new app on us :-(  Very frustrating to have to watch this stuff on a computer now when we used to be able to watch it on our TV :-(
