Magic Freeview Box only plays Al Jazeerah, Shopping and Chinese Drama

Magic Box has stopped playing live TV and only plays Al Jazeerah, Shopping and Chinese Drama.

I can play recorded programmes.

I have done all the resets available to me but to no avail.

I have not yet tried it on a different TV which I will still do but I am not very optimistic.

An email to the helpline in Hamilton suggested I do the resets which I had already done, now I have to send it to them in Hamilton.

Does anyone have any suggestions before I spend money on a different machine this Christmas please?

Certainly you need to establish whether it is a signal issue or a STB issue , do you have a TV with built in Freeview you can plug into the aerial where the Magic TV unit is

Thanks Robert, I have tried the recorder on both of my TV's and from different aerial inputs but to no avail. We think it is a fault with the recorder. It is only two years old.

Do any of your TV's have built in Digital Terrestrial - just checking the box on other tv's won;t tell you this , you need to use a different tuner ie a TV with digital or another receiver , it would most likely not be the Magic unit - sounds more like signal issues , are you near any cellphone tower , do you have an signal amplifier on your antenna or in the system - cheers
