zygo s2000

i recently purchased this reciever and would like to mention a couple of things ive noticed
when it checks for a over the air update at 4am the reciever doesnt return to stanby it stays on and would be nice if it had a lower power mode so when the unit is in stanby the hard drive turns off to i have this unit in my bedroom when i turn it off to go to sleep i can hear the hard drive still going
part from those things i like this unit so far

Just turn off "Software Update via OAD" and it won't turn on and search for an update at 4am. Pg 19 of your manual.

We hope you are enjoying the Zygo S2000 Unit and glad to see you like it so far.

Please follow Biggles advise of turning off Software Updates. That way the unit once switched off for the night will not be woken up unless you turn it on via the remote or the front panel.

also noticed when i turn unit off next time i turn on its always on channel 1 be nice if it stayed on last viewed channel and this morning i booked jeremy kyle to record it turned on and recorded fine but didnt return to stanby when finished and playback locked up the unit wouldnt respond had to power off at wall

even with the oad update turned off the unit was still on when i got up this morning

see this is only a single tuner pvr

possibly a replacement for the 7080

as for zygo sounds like its made in the likes of romania

The Zygo has a Dual Tuner however is not marketed as a MyFreeview unit.

Hi Leon, same issues with my ZYGO 2000, have returned it and a new one will be with me tomorrow, otherwise seems to be a great reciever hope they sort it out.
