Hi Simon, Have you tried the retuning guide here?: http://www.dishtv.co.nz/support/s7070r-loss-of-prime.htm

I went into the menu on mine and did a 'blind scan' which found all the channels for me.

Cheers, Mike

Hello Mike, I have tried the retuning guide and it was after doing that I lost the channels. I have tried the blind scan and tv1 and tv2 are not even showing up.

Do you have the latest firmware  (V.125) ?

  1. Switch the receiver off either using the power switch on the rear of the unit or at the wall
  2. Switch the receiver back on
  3. As soon as the receiver displays "load" press "up" "down" "up" in quick succession on the remote

The receiver will then perform an EPROM erase and restart

After the EPROM erase process has completed you will be prompted to select your region and press ok.

Once the scan process has completed you should have access to all channels again.

Hi Paul, tried what you suggested and still no luck

cheers

Have you tried a Factory Reset enter the code 0000 and it should restore your channels, (It will go through a setup screen and will scan and then normal TV service will resume

That's very odd.

What are your Strength and Quality meters like ?

Press the INFO button on your remote.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

A OTA is being broadcast today and tomorrow  so you shouldn't of  have had to manually add Prime.

If you prefer you can force the receiver to update manually by following these steps

  1. Press the Menu button to bring up the main menu
  2. Select Installation and press OK
  3. Select "S/W Upgrade via OTA" and press OK

The receiver will display "S/W Searching in Progress..."

Once the receiver has confirmed that the OTA is running you will be prompted to Install the firmware. After you have selected "Yes" and pressed OK the receiver will start to download the firmware update. This process will take between 20 and 40 minutes after which the receiver will restart.

Hi Joshua, tried a Factory Reset and still the same

Hi Paul, Strength and Quality meters are not at 100%

Press the INFO button on your remote.

That's normal

Mine are 79% Strength  & Quality 98%

Are your channels missing of or do the display No Signal  i.e if you Press 1 on your remote what happens.

The only other things I can think of  is your dish has become misaligned or your LNB is faulty, or your LNB settings are wrong.

  1. Press the Menu button to bring up the main menu
  2. Select Installation and press OK
  3. Select Tuning Wizard and press OK
  4. Enter the PIN code for the unit (the default is 0000)
  5. Select Satellite Scan and press OK
  6. Press the left arrow to access the carrier list

Number 1 should  be Freeview 12456 MhZ/22500/H

If this is not present then you are missing that Frequency , if it is there then  Press the green button and Scan.

Frequency is correct and after scan, channels are there but come up with no signal?

You could try a different region maybe  that is causing the problem.

Do a reset and choose Wellington as your region.

I attempted that and still comes up no signal?,  Tried another Freeview receiver and no problems with channels apart from Prime and C4
