Hi - I'm new to the forum and have a problem that has been reported on facebook with no result.
We record TV3 news every night with series link, but lately every night or 2 it drops out listed as no data on the programme list (Panasonic DMR BWT720)
This is simply annoying - is the EPG data being modified or is there another issue - judging from others comments this is not a hardware issue as it is across multiple platforms

Same problem here, TV3 news only records randomly, has been an ongoing problem for the last 9 months or so, posted it on the Freeview Facebook page last week and got fobbed off with the manufacturer/device specific excuse, since then 3 others have posted that they are experiencing the same problems, am using a Panasonic DMR -XW380 software version 1.43. What's going on ?, everything else records perfectly even when series linked.
Out of interest I also connected & programmed an older machine (Panasonic DMR-XW380) with just 3 News.
Both my machines recorded last night but failed tonight. The programme list has no data, but the guide still reports as series link - both have 10 out of 10 for signal strength & quality (I can see Mt KauKau) so this is not the issue.
With the other comments on this thread - this must be a data transmission issue - I wonder if Freeview will admit this?
Just had another poster with the same problem on Facebook, that makes 5 that I'm aware of and those are just the ones who are pigged off enough to complain about it, imagine how many who are out there who think it's just their fumble fingers that are responsible.
I can't record TV3's news either. My husband is getting madder that its not working. Then I found a press release from TV3 using google which explained why. I hope this link below works. So I will retune my TV tonight and see if it works. I

Hi Tanya, John & Stephen - welcome!
Thank you for highlighting this issue and providing details, which Freeview has passed on so it can be looked into.
Tanya - will be interesting to see if your retune makes any difference so please let us know!
Hi Tania
You had my hopes up for a bit, but this is a re-tune notice from September last year - it would have been a problem then, but is not related to the current issue (shame)

Same problem here — using Magic TV MTV3600. Also tested using a friend's MTV3600 (different city) — same problem. Problem started about two weeks ago — consistently records only one episode of a daily series (e.g. news). Weekly series recording is not affected, just daily recording.
I contacted Magic TV support (DishTV) who have replied "This is a broadcast issue and not a fault of your unit. You can contact Freeview NZ about it as they are not tagging certain programs properly with the series link."
So the PVR manufacturer is definitely pointing the finger at FreeviewNZ. Given the same experience across various PVRs noted here, it would appear to be a Freeview problem, right?
Bel: Really hope Freeview can respond soon — something was changed about two weeks ago.
I'm sorry if I mislead anyone, I really thought I had solved my problem. I have re-tuned my freeview on Friday afternoon and have finally managed to record Friday's 6pm news and Saturdays. The true test is whether next weeks news gets recorded. I have my fingers crossed it does'nt reset itself again and stuff my recording again. Will let you know what happens.
Just watching Family Guy on TV3 and the sound is just garbled, got FSD on strength and quality and everything else is great, maybe it's a TV3 problem ??.
I'm hopeful that this is now fixed too - 3 nights in a row have been successful!
