If you can get Freeview HD ( or FreeviewPlus) then it's best to talk to the landlord or management to get the UHF aerial connected to the apartment, they should be able to do this regardless. Let me know how you get on Cheers, Joshua …

A LNB with a freq of 12456 just wouldn't work.
Go back to your LNB setting and enter either 10750 or 11300.
If that doesn't work then your LNB is most likely dead. When your LNB is dying it can often be brought back to life temporarily by raising or lowering the freq slightly in say 5mhz increments.…

Also make sure the TV is definitely has a Sat Tuner (that model should be Sat capable) and the dish cable is plugged in the Sat socket and not the UHF socket.
Your Profile indicates you are in Auckland so why are you not using UHF so you get HD picture?
Sat is only poor quality SD.
More info is needed in order to help.

d there was no storm. Surely there is a backup generator to provide power to the transmitter. We bought a UHF aerial in good faith and a Dish box but it looks like its a fizzer now. We will have to fore-go our HD and get a satellite box because the Cave outfit is unreliable.
It seems too muchg trouble to kept us informed too as the last update was 8am and its now 8pm.

I have tried the "what to do if things go wrong" guide, but it doesn't apply in my case. I can no longer update the firmware over the air because the box can no longer see the satellite.
What can I do?…
All Services.
- Yes ( for save search results)
Then a window came up with the message - Scramble Channel.
I then pressed the numbers of each of the channels and found Prime still unobtainable.
What else can be done please?…
Well it's getting old so perhaps the decoder is getting a bit flakey, so I also have a Topfield TF6000PVR-ES which I thought I could put in place to identify if the problem is with the PVR. The previous owner of the Topfield swears it was working on UHF, but I can't find anything in the installation menu relating to UHF, the menu only allows me to select a satellite. Does this model do terrestrial, and if so, how is it configured to do this?…
1. On the remote toggle Right (You will see the drop down as seen above)
2. Use the arrow keys to select the "FTA" Satellite or the satellite that you renamed in Step 5.(Do not&nb
