Hi,
We just moved to another place. Instead of having a new UHF aerial installed. I want to know if there is such a thing as a wireless UHF that I can use instead.
I currently have Sky but is cancelling that one as the programs are really getting mroe crap by the day.
I am very new to Freeview and would want to have Freeview Plus. Wanting to buy a new Freeview Plus Ready TV this Xmas if possible,
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you mean by "a wireless UHF that I can use instead."
For UHF TV you must have a UHF antenna. And most modern TVs and PVRs are now Freeview Plus capable anyway.
All info you need is here

Hi Edwin,
As Biggles said, to get FreeviewPlus you will first need a UHF aerial which you can buy from most TV/AV installers and through the main electronic retailers. An outdoor aerial is ideal for long lasting reception however you can get an indoor UHF aerial if you are in a very strong Freeview HD area (close to the transmitter) and you wish to get Freeview temporarily while an outdoor aerial is being installed etc..
For Freeview Plus TVs, look at the link Biggles provided or have a chat to the retailer in store about whether the TV can get FreeviewPlus.
Let us know if you need any further help!
Cheers, Joshua
Hi Biggles,
Thanks for your reply. Yeah sorry, my bad, I am confusing the wireless UHF antenna with the UHF indoor antenna that are getting sold in Harvery Norman.
Main reason I am looking at an indoor UHF antenna is so we can bring it with us when we have to move yet again :(. So just wanting to make sure that those indoor UHF antenna are alright to use with Freeview Plus
Thanks Joshua,
We are someone in the Royal Oak area, signal seems strong so will try an indoor UHF. Will ask the retailer to confirm
OK
Doesn't matter if your TV is Freeview or Freeview Plus. The UHF side is the same. Freeview plus just has added/different content and other extras that use your Network connection. i.e. The UHF side is still 'dumb' but the network side is 'smart'.
Double check with a few retailers, we sometimes get reports that the retailers usually supply incorrect info to customers which causes some minor headache, by your location you should be fine with either option, but do let us know what you choose so we can tailor some useful info to any future requests.
Let me know if you need any further info! :-)
Regards
Joshua
