Hi,

I recently cancelled my SKY subscription and got a DishTv S7070r receiver for my Samsung TV.

I tried to do satellite scan and it comes up with Tuning failure.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers, Venu

What parameters are you using in the setup menu.

Check you have the correct LNB frequency set.

Your profile indicates you are in Te Awamutu and have a T2100 box so why not just install a UHF antenna? The coverage map for Te Aroha indicates all of Te Awamutu should receive UHF OK.

Satellite name: optus D1
Start freq: 11700
End Freq: 12900
Polarisation: Horizontal

LNB setup:

type: Ku Band
Low: 10750
High: 10750
22khz: off
DIsEqC: None
Tone: burst: none
Positioner: None
Power: On

Hi Venu, presumably you have plugged the cable from the Sky satellite dish into the LNB In connection on the back of your Dish TV satBox S7070r, and have connected it to your TV via AV or HDMI (sorry if you've been there and done that). Have you done a Blind Scan, which will find any signal that's available?  The Freeview channels are on different frequencies (transponders) than the Sky ones.  Cheers... David

Have you checked the LNB frequency? Should be printed on the back of the LNB. It may be 11300, not 10750. Otherwise it all looks OK.
