Need more info.

Is LNB same frequency as old one?

Is everything aligned correctly?

Are you using a sat meter for alignment?

What are your setup parameters?

So many variables to sort out.

yikes.....LNB  is the same freq, dish set up hasnt changed . Just working off the remote to tune but keep getting the same Database empty reply. Just worked off the proceedure I used in the previous set up ( which worked well -straigh forward , all done with remote , took a matter of muinuites )just got a new mssge on the screen NO SERVICE

OK.

Best things to try now is try your S7070 on a known working dish and try a known working STB on your dish with the new LNB. Once again, a lot of variables to play with. Could be the LNB alignment, wrong parameters somewhere or just a dead second hand box. Not easy to sort out where the problem is. Just a lot of trial and error to locate the problem.

ok , thanks for that .I will go back and start again . lol. was bored without t.v, now tuning it up again has solved that problem . Thanks again
