Hi,
Today have been trying to Freeview on our second tv. Our set up is probably fairly common to those who have previously had sky tv in 2 rooms running off 1 decoder.
No we no longer have sky so main tv with built in freeview uhf just now goes from wall socket to aerial socket socket on TV. No dramas, good strong signal no drops, freezes pixels etc. When I split the signal to set up our second older tv with a freeview box (T2100 I think) the picture quality on this TV was poor. It would freeze, break up etc. The picture quality on the main TV was unaffected. I removed the splitter and ran the signal directly to the tv having issues and the picture was fine
Obviously I am not getting enough signal to support a split to the second TV down the line but I didn't think I would have an issue with just 1 split? Have I got a dud splitter or do I need to boost the signal somehow? The TV that loses signal after the split is furthest away from the aerial.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers
Stephen

What sort of splitter are you using?
You need a good quality one like this

The old analogue ones like this are useless for digital.

Make sure you use f connectors and your cables are good quality.
What sort of splitter? I doesn't have a brand on it but I got it at The Warehouse and it rattles when I shake it.
I'll see if I can get down to Jaycar tomorrow for something a little more substantial.
