One day we turned on.our free view (s7070r) and there was no signal it worked fine the previous evening. We've so far tried retuningetting it, realigning the satellite which neither worked. We decided to try replace the LNB because we figured that must be the only thing that could go wrong. By the way I took our free view decoder back to noel leeming and they tested it and it was working fine. We have no idea why we're still not getting any signal. We can only think.maybe it's a setting we have wrong or something. any ideas?

Sorry bout the.mistakes I'm on my phone

make sure the no in mens/installation/antenna set up or lnb settings matches the label on the lnb

likely to be either 11300 or 10750

Hi Mal

Looks as though (as willis says) you will need double check the settings on your unit, it might pay to check whether you have the latest firmware installed.

Let us know if you need any further help..

Did you have a power failure overnight? That may have altered some settings in your setup.

As Willis says, make sure your LNB setting in setup matches the frequency indicated on your LNB.

How did Noel Leeming test it. They don't usually have a sattelite dish at their stores to test it on. Maybe they just turned it on and saw the menu works OK which would indicate the box is fine but your setup parameters are wrong.

Listing your setup menu parameters here might help?

Hi thanks for that. I'm pretty sure we have that correct. How do we check if we have the latest firmware installed?

Thanks Mal

Hi

Simply go to Main Menu > System Configuration > Version

It should display:

  • Hardware Version
  • Chip Version
  • Date

Hi Biggles,

Thanks for the reply. No we didn't have a power failure. I've checked the LNB settings and they seem to be correct. I could be wrong though.

Noel Leeming had a cable especially for testing. It picked up the channels fairly quickly. However i find it odd because we plugged ours into my parents tv and it didn't work. Unless we have the wrong settings for their tv aswell. It's all very confusing to us lol. Please find attached some photos of our settings on our freeview and the LNB box specs (the new one). Hopefully that can give you more details .

Thanks so much for your help!!

Mal

As far as i can tell i think it is correct and still no luck :(

Ok thank you can you please look at this picture and tell me if it is correct? I've also attached some other pictures to Biggles message with all our settings. If you have time could you check through them and see if any are wrong? It would be much appreciated.

Cheers Mal
