RNZ National programme in Stereo

Please advise if there is a technical reason why Radio NZ National Ch 50 is not broadcast in stereo via Satellite and / or if there is any plan to do so in the future.

I don't think they transmit stereo on any platform. They're Mono on FM and appear to be mono on FreeviewHD. Have never tried them via satellite. AFAIK only Concert is in stereo.
